The 11th Workshop of the Minaminihon Association was held

The 11th workshop of the Minaminihon Association was held at Ueno Toutenko on Friday, November 8, 2024. The theme of this workshop is “Aiming to be the best in logistics quality in Japan”, and it is held with the main objectives of learning more about the “current state” of the logistics industry, deepening exchanges as members of the same industry, and strengthening unity.
This year, the 11th time the event had been held, 57 people from 39 companies that are members of the Minaminihon Association participated.

〇 Opening Address

- Greetings from Mr. Kimiyuki Ishikawa, Chairman of Workshop of the Minaminihon Association (President of Toprec Corporation)
He raised the topic of how to deal with costs in the context of the 2024 problem, and said, “Logistics companies will be required to create a rationale (to acquire knowledge) for making improvements.
He expressed his hope that the meeting would become an opportunity for everyone to think about this.

- Greetings from Keiichiro Ozono, President of Minaminihon Total Logistics Service Inc.
After reporting on the company's initiatives, such as work style reform, the new center, and overseas business, he said, “There are many issues, such as a shortage of manpower, but by exchanging information and opinions, we can move in a positive direction. I would like to make this a meeting like that today.” He then expressed his gratitude to the participants.

〇 Keynote Speech "MD&Logistics Service"

We welcomed Shinobu Nakai, formerly of Nippon Access, Inc., as a speaker, and he talked about “what is required of logistics” from the perspective of the retail industry (mainly supermarkets). At the end of the lecture, he answered many questions from the participants, and the workshop closed to a round of applause.

We will continue to contribute to the development of the logistics industry and the resolution of issues through this training program, together with our group companies and partner companies.
